Luis Saldaña, also known as ‘Coach Louie’, proudly hails from Chicago, where he kick started his baseball career. After an attempt at professional baseball, Coach Louie made the transition to softball in 1992, playing for prestigious teams such as Aurora Dolan Murphy (Illinois), Pete's Blues (St. Louis), Fedlock (Washington, DC), and the Dominican Republic (USA National Team). Over his remarkable 32-year playing career, he fearlessly competed among the world's top male Fastpitch players, participating in 17 ISC World Tournaments, 16 USA National Tournaments, and 7 AAU International Championships. Recently, Coach Louie has boldly ventured into coaching High School Baseball and is eager to impart his vast expertise in pitching and hitting to a new generation of softball and baseball players.
